Note: The maximum number of members in one team is 15.
The climbing of any scheduled expedition peaks in Nepal is regulated by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, located at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Permits are issued upon payment of the appropriate royalty and various financial and environmental guarantees.
For expeditions exceeding 6,500 meters, a government liaison officer will accompany the team to the base camp. The expedition team must cover all costs for the liaison officer, whose primary role is to ensure compliance with Nepal’s mountaineering regulations and environmental responsibilities.
Expeditions can be carried out year-round. The spring season is most popular for high peaks due to favorable weather and snow conditions. Autumn is also a popular season, while winter expeditions are less common due to challenging weather conditions.
Rise Expeditions and Treks Pvt. Ltd. assumes responsibility for managing garbage from all expeditions organized by the company. The team ensures that all recyclable items are either destroyed or recycled in the presence of Nepal Government authorities. Non-recyclable garbage that cannot be managed in the mountains is transported back to Kathmandu and handed over to the appropriate government department as directed.
