OVERVIEW

Considering climbing an 8,000-meter peak or higher? The Manaslu Expedition  in Nepal is an ideal choice for aspiring mountaineers. It’s one of the most preferred options for those seeking to conquer 8,000-meter peaks, and it also provides valuable experience before attempting Mount Everest. Mt. Manaslu demands maximum fitness, prior mountaineering and high-altitude experience, and rigorous training and preparation.

This sharp and exquisite peak with immense extruding ridgelines is located in the Mansiri Himal range 44 km East of Annapurna also called “Mountain of Spirit”. It was first conquered on May 9, 1965, by Japanese Expedition members Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu.

The Expedition begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, where you’ll be greeted by a Rise Expedition representative and transferred to the hotel. Over the next two days, you’ll prepare for your adventure, meeting with a guide to obtain essential expedition information and permit

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore Kathmandu Valley. On day four, you’ll drive to Soti Khola Bazar, and from there, you’ll embark on a series of treks through diverse landscapes, including lush forests, terraced rice paddies, rugged cliff-face ridges, rushing rivers, and enchanting waterfalls. You’ll pass through several picturesque villages and encounter a variety of wildlife.

The second part of your journey involves a more challenging trek, including ascents to various camps located at increasing altitudes. You’ll spend time acclimatizing at Samagaon then trek to Manaslu Base Camp. Here, you’ll rest and participate in a Puja Ceremony to ask for blessings for the successful ascent of Manaslu. Depending on the weather, you’ll then spend several days climbing to the summit of Manaslu, navigating through steep sections of moraines and glaciers. After reaching the summit, you’ll descend back to Base Camp, clean up the site, and retrace your route back to Samagaon. You’ll then descend to various villages before driving back to Kathmandu. Your final days in Kathmandu can be spent exploring World Heritage Sites, shopping for souvenirs, or simply relaxing at the hotel before you depart from Tribhuvan International Airport.
